No New Posts Stone Meadow

In the times of old, Stone Meadow used to be New Bark Town, but that little place has long been gone. Now surrounded by a sparse forest, this little meadow only holds a few stones that used to be houses, thus it's name.

No New Posts Route 29

Though the reason this route is named has long been forgotten (being as it apparently leads to nowhere), route 29 still stands. It is mostly sparse forest with tall grass and a near constant breeze.

No New Posts Cherrygrove City

The largest city in Johto, Cherrygrove is one of the few locations to have benefited from the disruption of the world. It is said to be under the protection of Ho-oh, who now roosts hidden somewhere in the city...according to legend.

Traveling north from Cherrygrove City, route thirty is fairly easy to travel. There are a few trees, but for the most part it is tall grass, save for the well trodden path.

No New Posts Route 31

The eastward curve and continued travel until one reaches the ruins is the route labeled as route 31. The grasses steadily become shorter here, although there are a few more trees.

No New Posts Ancient Ruins

The remains of Violet City, one of the few locations in Johto that is still obviously the ruins of a city. The buildings are dangerous, always threatening to topple, and it is inhabited by a great number of fierce bird pokemon.

A long, long route, it travels southwards from the Ancient Ruins. Although it starts out fairly easy to travel, the grasses soon become scarce and give way to rocky, dusty landscape.

No New Posts Union Cave

Creepy and dark, Union Cave is a must-travel in order to continue from route 32 to route 33, or visa versa. Although in ancient days the lower levels used to guide you back to the Ruins of Alph, those ruins no longer exist, and neither do the underground passageways.

A short route full of rocks and likely stubbed toes, route 33 leads one from Union Cave to the Legendary Shrine.

No New Posts Legendary Shrine

Located where Azalea Town once stood, the Legendary Shrine is kept in good repair by the small number of people that live around it. They are distrustful of travelers, and if they learn that you are a member of Origin, they will not hesitate to try and kill you.

No New Posts Ilex Forest

A small forest, it is somewhat dangerous to travel at night because of the many twisting routes possible to take through it can leave one easily lost even in the day. Despite the fact that it is possible to pass through it in a single day, many people spend many more trying to find a way out of the maze.

Though it starts out rocky and uneasy to travel, the land soon smooths out into dirt and some short grass. The closer you get to Goldenrod City, the greener the landscape becomes. Towards the end of the route, trade boats can often be seen leaving or returning to the Goldenrod Ports.

No New Posts Goldenrod City

Goldenrod is still vibrant and healthy, although not quite as populous as Cherrygrove. They have a strong economy thanks to their skill in smelting iron ore and creating weapons. It is the base of the Origin in Johto.

Traveling north from Goldenrod City, the sea holds only a few fishing boat on occasion. The grass here is relatively tall but the massive shrubs and bushes -they seem to be almost treelike due to their size- grab the most attention.

No New Posts Route 36

Here the massive shrubs and bushes of route 35 seem to have disappeared, giving way instead to creeping vines covered in thorns. It is best to watch your step here.

No New Posts Route 37

A short route, it connects route 36 to Ecruteak City. There is no grass on this route, so it's easy to pick out the thorny vines that still twist along the path.

No New Posts Ecruteak City

For as long as anyone can remember, Ecruteak has been the home of a surprising number of ghost pokemon. The people who live here are odd and seem half ghost themselves, living nocturnal lives and seeming anti-social to outsiders. It is not advised for someone without the blood of a native citizen to stay the night here...it seems that only those who have grown up here are safe from the 'tricks' of the ghosts.

A route of dirt and sparse grass, it is a favorite place of ambush for thieves and other criminals, who are able to conceal themselves behind or even in the mounds of dirt along the path.

No New Posts Route 39

The dirt of route 38 has transformed into a mixture of dirt and sand that is steadily becoming more and more sand. The sandier it gets, the harder the rain that is nearly always falling on this route becomes.

No New Posts Coastline

After so many years of the weather and the sea taking it's toll, not even ruins remain of Olivine City. This particular stretch of coastline is dangerous because of the unpredictable, violent storms that rage here.

No New Posts Route 40

A purely aquatic route, a few fishing boats can be seen here, as well as trade boats that have somehow missed the docks of Goldenrod. It is dangerous, however, for this route is famous for it's harsh storms that toss the sea.

The islands here provide shelter for those foolish enough to be out at sea without a boat, but one should always be wary-tough pokemon that make their living in these stormy seas reside here.

No New Posts Island

For the same reason that Olivine City no longer remains, neither does Cianwood. The island is a popular place to take refuge from the storms, when fisherman/traders are caught out in their boats, where the system of caves cutting the island in half provide shelter.

If one were to go east from Ecruteak City, they would find themselves on route 42, which almost immediately finds itself covered by trees. The trees grow denser and denser until it is truly the Dense Forest. If you were to wander about some, you might come across a small mountain called Mt. Mortar...

No New Posts Dense Forest

The densest forest in Johto, and aptly named, it's heart is the ancient site of Mahogony City, though nothing really remains save for the odd stone. The heart of the forest is one of the most dangerous places to transverse-it is also the only way to get to the Lake of Rage, as the northern part of the forest is impenetrable, save for a small corridor reaching north from the heart of the forest.

A corridor in the densest part of Dense Forest, this tangled, gloomy, dangerous path can lead you to the Lake of Rage.

No New Posts Lake of Rage

The Lake of Rage has grown since ancient times, and now envelops twice the space it used to. It is also, adversely, far calmer as the gyradose have all died or left, though it is still not advised to swim in. A small colony of fisherman live on it's banks.

If you manage to pass through the heart of the Dense Forest, you will find that the trees begin to thin, giving way to the rocky base of the Silver Mountain Range.

No New Posts Mountain Base

Though the town no longer stands, it's location remains the spot where the most entrances to the Mountain Range dividing Johto and Kanto. Be it a path over the mountain, or a path through it, the majority of travelers come to or leave Johto from this location.

No New Posts Route 45

A long southward route alongside the base of the mountain range, route 45 is a hilly, rocky terrain. There are many entrances into the strange Dark Cave on this route, but for the most it leads straight to route 46. There is a perilous pathway to Mt. Silver, but it is not advised to take it. There have been no reports of anyone surviving the trek.

No New Posts Mt. Silver

The tallest mountain in the Silver Mountains, it is accessible most easily from the Kanto side of the mountain range. It is a dangerous place, full of outlaws and pokemon, but it holds many riches.

No New Posts Route 46

Away from the base of the mountain range, this place is tall grass and a few trees. It holds another entrance to Dark Cave, but for the most part just leads to route 29.
